Conference

Over the Air London 2010

I raced from Caen Twitter meet-up onto a ferry into Portsmith, England then a train into London to the Imperial College to Over the Air conference which was on the 9th and 10th of September.

All I can say is WOW ok one of the best planned conferences I have ever been to and also it was FREE. The conference is focused on the Web and the latest happenings. There was presentations on all platforms, Windows, Apple, Android, Symbian, Nokia Ovi, sadly meego was missing though Nokia did mention it in its QT presentations.

There was presentations from @brucel from Opera on HTML, W3C presented on HTML, ericsson showed off some widgets, @aral gave an inspiring key note and Nokia showed off what they have been up to lately in India.

The conference went for two days and on the friday evening there was dinner and drinks which allowed for discussions with people like @aral, @ivanka and many others. The next day started with cooked breakfast served up with coffee and juice. Have I mentioned the coffee jugs and free snickers bars set up outside conference rooms.

I plan to be back next year for Over the Air 2011 as I can line it up with a Drupal Con trip. I recommended checking this conference out and it is a must see if you are into mobile technology.
