The first Drupal Camp Australia happened with great success. The venue was booked out and rooms where overflowing. The Australian Learning and Teaching Council proudly sponsored Lunch for the event. People had traveled from all around Australia and New Zealand. There was two rooms with the streams split across both rooms. The facility was fantastic great catering provided (thanks Australian Learning Teaching Council and Cochlear). I learnt alot from the day and was fantastic to be able to provide some information and support during the workshop. Overall a great day had by all, with social drinks occurring at the students bar down the road. I was not aware there was so many people around Australia doing Drupal. This event has shown that the community has reached a maturity level and I would like to see this be the first of many Drupal events in Australia.
I presented a workshop with Ivan on Calendar, Views, CCK and Date modules. We did a basic step by step walk-through on how to configure these modules and display some views on a Drupal site.
